From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
Fallujah or Falluja (Al Fallujah) is a city in the so-called Sunni triangle of Iraq. It is known within that country as the "city of mosques" and is located roughly 69 kilometers (43 miles) west of Baghdad in the Iraqi province of Al Anbar.
In the 2003 invasion of Iraq and the aftermath, Fallujah has been one of the most dangerous areas for coalition military troops.
