For previously published work: If you know of a good news article, op-ed work or guide written by another person, please e-mail a copy of it or a link to the article online to us at submit at why-war dot com.

For original work: We welcome unsolicited and previously unpublished submissions from writers, artists and activists. Judging “good” articles for publication here will always be a subjective process, however a quick look at this website will show you that we have many different perspectives within the anti-war movement represented. Those who will be reading your work also represent diverse opinions, and we are committed to offering a wide range of opinions here. Personal slander or unfounded attacks will not be accepted; well-documented exposés on shady officials will be welcomed.

If your submission is accepted, we will be happy to link to your website or provide a contact e-mail address (HTML-encoded to prevent spam) for your readers. We will respect whatever byline you choose to write under, short of misrepresenting yourself as another person. In general we publish under an open copyright, but we can list a separate license for you if you wish.

Why War? is an organization that is trying to do a difficult task: introduce a very basic question into the consciousness of all those who are only being exposed to a one-sided and superficial understanding of this war. We want people to ask, “Why War?” If we are ever going to compete even partly with the blind pro-war climate of America, however, we need your help.

We’re not just interested in money! We are always seeking dedicated and self-motivated individuals who are interested in becoming an active member in one of America’s most unique student-run peace organizations. Read about what you can do to help!
